In 1966, on the 46th parallel, where the Mediterranean meets the Dolomites, Preidlhof was born. Sixty years later, the resort has chosen to celebrate this important anniversary by looking ahead. Not with a simple redesign, but with a question: what should a space dedicated to wellbeing be today?
A place to relax, certainly. But also a place to restore energy, gain clarity, connect with others and listen to what is happening within. A space capable of embracing body, mind and emotions. A destination designed to support transformation.
It is from this reflection that the new Preidlhof spa takes shape. Carefully reimagined wellness spaces, enriched experiences and new areas dedicated to regeneration and personal growth: not to replace what already exists, but to accompany it in its natural evolution. Because after sixty years of welcoming guests, of roots deeply grounded in time, and of authentic wellbeing experiences, the story of Preidlhof continues to evolve, to question itself and to explore new possibilities.
Scheduled to open in February 2027, the new spa will mark a new chapter in the history of the resort and in the evolution of The Preidlhof Way: not a new philosophy, but a philosophy finding new spaces in which to express itself.

The new spa is both the natural continuation of a journey and its next horizon: a project that carries forward the commitment to innovation, wellbeing and excellence in hospitality, values that have always been at the heart of the Ladurner family’s vision.
Once again leading the renewal project and the evolution of the Wellness Concept is Patrizia Bortolin, Spa Creator, Transformational Wellness Coach and Co-Founder of Glowing Flow Wellness Specialists. With more than 25 years of international experience in the world of wellness travel and recognised as one of the leading voices in spa and wellness innovation and transformational retreats, Patrizia Bortolin is reshaping the project’s conceptual vision, spatial planning and interior design for the new spa. She is also rethinking the relationship between guests and therapists, and the destination itself as a place for the soul, allowing treatments, holistic classes, nature and human connection to come together in an even more integrated, intuitive and transformative wellbeing journey.

A new look, the same soul
Sixty years of history do not mean remaining unchanged. They mean knowing what to preserve while having the courage to imagine what comes next.
It is with this spirit that Preidlhof’s wellness concept and spaces continue to evolve: preserving their identity while finding new ways to express it.
Already certified by Quiet Parks International as a Quiet Place and an ambassador of the Sustainable Spa Association, Preidlhof was also the first Wellness & Spa property in the world to achieve ISO 17679 certification, recognising the highest standards of hygiene, sustainability and quality.
In 2026, Preidlhof also unveiled a new Snow Room, maintained at approximately –10°C and replenished with real snow every night. The experience further enriches its wellness offering and complements the iconic six-storey Sauna Tower.
The renovation encompasses 604 m² of redesigned spaces, with new areas complementing the existing offering. Once complete, the entire Wellness & Spa area at Preidlhof will extend across approximately 5,700 m².
But it is the experiences, even more than the size of the space, that define the new project.
Guests will find eleven treatment rooms, including one dedicated to couples, as well as two Garden Spa treatment rooms with panoramic views that open entirely onto the surrounding landscape. There will also be a dedicated space for holistic classes and sound healing, a crystal meditation room and a new panoramic fitness area overlooking the Val Venosta. The relaxation areas around the central pool will be further expanded, with the addition of a new sauna and steam room. The project will also introduce a Beauty Shop, a Wellness Library and a new private spa garden for guests, with outdoor relaxation areas designed for pure wellbeing. Completing the journey is the Walk of Love, enhanced by works of local craftsmanship.
Every element will be conceived to create a more intuitive and immersive experience—one that nurtures authentic connections, supports lasting wellbeing and accompanies each guest on their own journey of growth and transformation.
